Sea to Sea Tax relies on the use of a tax management platform called TaxDome for our Online Secure Portal. It is an extremely secure and reliable online system that allows us to provide our clients with capabilities that makes the tax process easier, more flexible, and transparent. The client portal is a convenient, efficient and secure way of interacting with Sea to Sea Tax throughout the tax season and beyond. It will allow you to exchange documents, confidentially communicate, sign documents, pay your bill, retrieve previous years tax returns, and more all in a very secure manner. It can all be done from the convenience of a PC/Mac computer or mobile device. In this video, you will learn how to activate your account and you'll get a general overview of the portal.
Our secure portal makes it easy and convenient to upload any tax documents and folders you have (1099, receipts, etc.). When you upload your documents through our secure online portal, your tax preparer has instant and exclusive access to it so they can get started working on your return right away. Watch this video for a step-by-step walkthrough of how to do this.
This video covers the topic of viewing and/or downloading documents from our secure portal. Any files you’ve uploaded are stored in the documents tab inside the Client uploaded documents folder in the portal or the mobile app. Files uploaded by your tax preparer are stored in the Firm docs shared with client folder. To see the document, just click on its name. You can download the document from the viewer mode or from the documents list.
An organizer is a set of questions prepared by your tax adviser to obtain some essential information from you. In this video, we will show you how to create a new organizer or complete the one created by Sea to Sea Tax. When completing your organizer, you'll be prompted to upload relevant tax documents (W2s, 1099s, receipts, etc.).
Electronic signature have become an accepted norm for the IRS and throughout your tax process with us, you'll be e-signing a couple of documents that you would normally provide a tradsignature on. For example, our standard letter of engagement and your final return will require an e-signature. You'll be notified when a document is ready for your signature and it is a couple of simple mouse clicks to e-sign your docs. Incidentally, this can all be done through the mobile app as well.
Paying your invoices within our system is fast and secure. You can pay all invoices pending or only selected invoices through the portal or tmobile app. We (or our payment processor) do not store your credit card information and it is only used momentarily to process the invoice payment transaction. You will receive confirmation of a paid invoice and you can always view past invoices through the portal or mobile app. Watch this video for a brief tutorial on how to pay your invoice.
